Bosch new technical training centre in Delhi

Bosch Automotive Aftermarket, leading supplier of automotive parts and accessories, diagnostic & test equipment and authorised car service inaugurated its second technical training centre in India. Located in New Delhi and built with an investment of 30 million rupees in association with DEG Germany, the training centre will cater to the north Indian market. It will impart training to aspiring engineers, technicians, employees and customers thus enhancing their level of technical competence on emerging automotive technology and service to global standards.
Bosch has a 30 year long legacy of training automotive vehicle manufacturers, some of whom include TATA, ALL, Mahindra and Mahindra, Simpsons, Force motors technical institutes and its own service organisations.
S. Muralidharan, Vice President - Automotive Aftermarket, Bosch Limited said, “The industry at present however doesn’t possess adequate skilled manpower to cater to this increasing demand. It is anticipated that meeting this demand would require a trained workforce of 2.5 million technicians and mechanics by 2025. As industry leaders we are attempting to bridge this gap. We intend to transform technicians into knowledge workers by equipping them with skills and confidence needed for automotive service, diagnostic interrogation and resolution.”
With a capacity of training 50 people at once, this centre offers 70 specialised training modules for different skill sets like Car Service, Electrical module service, Vehicle maintenance and systems, Workshop & Test Equipment applications, Diesel Fuel Injection Equipment, etc.. It also offers specific modules for students, technicians, customers, trainers, new and old employees, sales/ service personnel, etc thereby providing a balanced mix of classroom training, practical demonstration and hands on experience of working on automotive technology on actual vehicles in a state of the art practical automotive lab equipped with world class diagnostics and test equipment.
For example the ESI (tronic) software by Bosch meant for vehicle diagnosis with active trouble shooting can be used for over 60,000 cars worldwide. In a nutshell, training modules of this centre will provide trainees with exposure to training tools, techniques and technical knowledge that have been adopted from best international practices across 60 countries that Bosch is present in. On completion of training, candidates would be awarded a certificate from Bosch Automotive Aftermarket.
